Stefanidou, Roula, Faculty, Junior Kindergarten

Ms. Zacharoula Stefanidou holds a Bachelor of Science in Education (Elementary Education, grades 1–8) with a minor in Child Psychology from the University of Houston. She is certified with endorsements in Early Childhood, Kindergarten, and Gifted and Talented education.

Before relocating to Greece, Ms. Stefanidou taught Gifted and Talented Kindergarten and First Grade students and was actively involved in the Early Literacy Writing Project, serving as a writing advisor in elementary schools. She was also a member and presenter for the Kindergarten Teachers of Texas (KToT), where she conducted professional workshops on incorporating writing into early childhood curricula. In recognition of her dedication, she was named Teacher of the Year in 1986 by the Houston Independent School District.

In addition to her classroom work, Ms. Stefanidou has served as an assistant principal at the elementary level and has coordinated summer programs for young children at the Greek Orthodox Community Center Summer Camp in Houston, Texas.

Now in her ninth year teaching in the PJ/JK classroom at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø, Ms. Stefanidou is committed to fostering both the academic and personal growth of every child in her care.
